Our Client one of the leading Irish-based shipping and freight forwarding company is looking for a Multi-Modal Freight Frorwarder. They offer transport for FCL/LCL, Conventional cargo, RoRo, Heavy Lift, and Project Cargo shipments to all major ports worldwide.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Road/Air/Sea Freight Forwarding Coordinator located in Santry, Dublin 9. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing road/air/sea freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining logistics documentation. The role involves liaising with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure efficient cargo transportation and resolve any logistics issues as they arise. Customs clearance experience is essential.

Requirements

• Provan experience in forwarding cargo by road, air, and sea freight (LCL/FCL)
• Experience in moving Air, LCL and FCL and Road shipments worldwide.
• Proficiency in logistics documentation and customs clearance procedures (organize, handle, and process documentation- including HAWB, MAWB, commercial documents, customs SADs, and other regulatory documents).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work on their own initiative to source rates and quote on an ad hoc basis.
• Ability to organize customer deliveries and collections and accurately track and trace cargo.
• Responsible for all financial matters relating to their shipments (raising purchase orders and accruals, passing supplier’s invoices, raising invoices to customers).
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
• Experience with freight management systems and software.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)  demonstrating a high level of written and verbal communication skills essential with overseas agents, clients, suppliers, and the team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment.

Essential Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of Multi-Modal Freight Forwarding experience in Ireland.
• 3 – 5 years experience in Customs Clearance.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Must have current references, which will be checked.
• Must hold a full driving licence.
• Hard working and reliable.
• Must hold a full, clean driving license.
