Airfreight Export & Aerospace Operator The Airfreight Export & Aerospace Operator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing all air export operations, with a strong focus on aerospace and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) logistics. Role The successful applicant will be joining a team of 4/5 operators. Key Responsibilities
  • Airfreight Export Operations
    • Process air export shipments from booking through final delivery.
    • Prepare and issue all export documentation, including AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, and export declarations.
    • Coordinate bookings with airlines, GSAs, and consolidators to secure optimal routings and rates.
    • Monitor cargo movements and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal teams.
    Aerospace & AOG Logistics
    • Manage time-critical aerospace shipments including AOG, routine, and dedicated Roadfreight solutions.
    • Liaise with MROs, OEMs, airlines, brokers, and forwarders to ensure rapid response to urgent requirements.
    • Coordinate specialist handling (e.g., oversized cargo, dangerous goods, engines, rotables).
    • Maintain accurate records and tracking for critical aerospace KPIs.
    Customer & Supplier Management
    • Act as the main operational contact for aerospace clients.
    • Build strong relationships with carriers, handling agents, and service partners.
    • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide professional support.
    • Ensure customer SOPs and service levels are followed at all times.
    Documentation & Compliance
    • Complete export customs declarations via AES or other relevant systems.
    • Handle DG shipments in accordance with IATA DG Regulations (if certified).
    • Maintain accurate and timely operational records in our TMS systems.
    • Ensure billing accuracy and support finance with invoice queries.
Skills and Experience
  • Essential
    • 2+ years of airfreight export operations experience (AOG/aerospace preferred).
    • Strong understanding of airfreight export procedures, airline bookings, and documentation.
    • Experience with customs declarations and Irish export processes.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage time-critical shipments.
    • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
    • Proficiency with cargo systems and MS Office.
    Desirable
    • Experience in aerospace, AOG support, or time-critical logistics.
    • IATA Dangerous Goods Certification.
    • Previous experience working with airlines or ground handlers.
