Our client a long established and highly respected international Freight Forwarder and due to exponential growth, especially on the customs clearance side, has a new position to fill within the company for a Customs Brokerage Agent.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
• Process Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary customs documentation for import and export shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws
• Compliance & Tariffs: Ensure all shipments meet applicable laws and regulations, including correct HS/HTS classification and origin determination
• Problem Resolution: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and customs brokers to resolve shipment holds or queries efficiently.
• Reporting: Generate and maintain accurate customs reports and data within management systems

Skills and Experience

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation
• Proven experience in a freight forwarding or customs clearance environment is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish/EU and international customs procedures and requirements.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in customs data input systems and MS Excel.
