We are currently recruiting for an Senior Operations candidate, with experience in Imports and Exports for our client. This position has very strong growth potential for the successful applicant.

Role

The successful applicant will be joining and leading a team of 4/5 operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Roadfreight (Exports – Imports)
• And, when needed, Airfreight & Seafreight (Exports – Imports)
• Booking hauliers for full loads.
• Identifying opportunities between Imports deliveries and Exports collections (Road, Air & Sea)
• To be responsible for the process of some shipments (full loads & Groupage).
• To Supervise the loading of exports trailers and offloading of imports trailers, and, report back.
• Providing operational assistance to the operators and hauliers (on call).
• Carry out Backoffice / administrative tasks (invoicing, retrieving PODs, etc.).
• To Cover for each operator (Road, Air & Sea) when on holidays, sick or helping them when workload is heavy.
• To be compliant with Operations processes, and, make sure that the operators are compliant too.
• To maintain a very good working relationship with the staff members, partners, sub-contractors and customers

Skills and Experience

• 100% fluency and clarity in spoken and written English to standard of first language is essential.
• Work experience in an Office environment in Ireland (1 year min).
• Work experience in Roadfreight in Ireland (1 year min).
• Very Good IT / PC skills, especially in Email, Word, Excel, is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and fully comply to internal and external processes.
• Excellent administrative skills: follow through tasks, queries etc. to completion.
• Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills.
• Reliable.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
• A strong desire for continuous learning and desire to grow professionally.
• Mature and responsible outlook.
• Good presentation and outgoing personality.
