Air Export Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an Airfreight  Export Coordinator for our client, one of the leading international freight forwarders.

Role

• Supports the Export Supervisor and works effectively with all other export staff to ensure effective smooth day to day running of department.
• Processes the exports as per our SOP’s
• Checks post flights daily and deals effectively with all queries/discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Work effectively with the warehouse manager (or warehouse team members) and national haulage companies to ensure accurate and timely collections from customers.
• Communicates with customers on their shipping needs and ensures all collections, paperwork and details of shipments are completed accurately.
• Engage in clear and effective communication (both verbal and written) with all service partners to ensure all collections/deliveries are completed on time.
• Cutting export documents and Export Custom clearance, following up with pre-alerts and flight details to the customer and overseas offices.
• Ensure compliance with revenue and customs regulations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry/statutory legislation.
• Deals effectively with overseas offices on sales leads, queries, and tracing shipments.
• Ensure invoicing is completed and sent to finance to ensure all billing is completed in line with Finance instructions and processes.
• Checks Supplier invoices / CASS queries
• Meets or exceeds customer service standards for both internal and external customers.

Skills and Experience

• 2 / 4 years’ experience as an Air Exports Co-ordinator.
• Experience in freight/logistics.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Effective planning, organisational and monitoring skills.
